My Eyes Open When The Sun Sets
Title: My Eyes Open When The Sun Sets
Fandom: BtVS/AtS
Characters: Darla, Buffy, Angel
Prompt: Daydreams #03
Word Count: 329
Rating: R
Occasionally, she becomes restless during the daylight hours. After all, she can’t sleep them all away, especially during the summer when the days extend into hazy nights and the sun takes it’s sweet time in sinking below the horizon, and there’s very little for a vampire to do when confined to the indoors. Especially when her lover’s become possessed of an altogether disgusting soul and her Master’s been ground to dust. Drusilla is tolerable for short periods and Spike – well, if family life has proven dreary at best then she can hardly be blamed for such things.
As a result, she spends a good portion of the day hidden from the world behind heavily curtained windows, bladed fingers pressing lazily between her thighs as she allows her thoughts to drift into the past – the recent past, the distant past – before she found herself so utterly alone. Lindsey never quite makes it into her fantasies, his darkness is all too human and there’s a reason she never welcomed him into the night. It’s always Angel who haunts her, the way that she once haunted him, and it’s his face that she sees as she arches her hips in release.
Usually.
Occasionally there are other lips that travel down her body when she closes her eyes, lips belonging to a girl whose identity she’d not reveal under pain of torture – that is, if torture didn’t get her off in its own right. Darla will never admit that she gets off on the thought of fucking Buffy Summers and she tells herself that it doesn’t mean anything. She’s never fucked a Slayer. Angelus staked her to prove something to this Slayer. Darla wants to know why this girl is so special, why Angel lost his soul inside of her.
But it’s just a fantasy – a daydream. Darla has no reason to confide the dangerous thoughts that are residing in her mind, and no one to confide to. It’s probably best this way.
